Description:
Freeze drying system generally divided into three steps: Freezing, Primary drying and secondary drying. Drying of the product is carried out by subliming the water by operating the system below triple point of water. We have the deep freezer separately where the material kept for freezing and then it is taken subsequently for dying in the drying chamber where the operating conditions such as pressure and temperature can be set as per requirement. For carrying out the secondary drying the Also, heating plates are provided to remove the bound moisture during secondary drying. Several arrangements were made to allow comprehensive control, measurement and recording of pressure and temperature inside the drying chamber. The pressure inside the drying chamber was measured with pirani gauge and regulated with solenoid valve. The temperature of heating plates and sample were measured with PT 100 thermocouples (3 nos.) and controlled using an integrated electrical resistance heater.
