Description:

The electromagnetic radiation is used as a heating source in the infrared dryers. The wavelength range of thermal radiation is 0.1-100 µm within the spectrum. Thermal radiation incident upon a body may be absorbed and its energy converted into heat, reflected from the surface or transmitted through the material.

Applications: IR heating is widely used in industry for surface drying or dehydration of thin sheets such as textiles, paper, films, stove enamels, etc.
