Abstract of Masters Thesis:
FLUID BED PROCESSING OF PHARMACEUTICALS AND SPECIALTY CHEMICALS
This involves study of the drying kinetics of various pharmaceutical & specialty chemicals in batch fluid bed dryer. This also involves studying the effect of various operating parameters such as air temperature, air velocity & bed height. Further, it is expected to carry out comparison between conventional fluid bed dryer & the agitated fluid bed dryer on the basis of energy analysis, quality of fluidization & uniformity of drying. Finally, it is expected to scale up the process using batch kinetic data to plug flow fluid bed dryer, with basic focus on the energy analysis of PFFBD.
